Easter 2012

Our first stop of the day was Bellerive with Grandma and Grandpa Inkley for breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt! We had such a blast! It was great seeing our wonderful friends, The Simmons (aka Genovese's). Evy and Emily are like two peas in a pod....sisters....best friends! We are so glad we had the chance to watch the girls chase each other around and spend Easter together!
Grandma and Grandpa sure seem to have fun watching Evy "cheat" as she took off for the EGG HUNT before the races started:) She was just so eager to get some yummy eggs. Funny thing....once she got started she seemed to just want to run around so she ended up getting 2 eggs:) Oh well...she had a ton of fun! We can't wait for another year of the Easter Bunny and the hilarious reactions we see from the kids!

In case you couldn't read my bloomers....my name is Evy!

Grandma gave me ICE CREAM.....she's awesome!
Besties......FOREVER!
Come on Grandpa......hurry up.....all the eggs will be gone!

Our 2nd stop of the day was to see Grandma and Grandpa Durbin and our favorite Aunt Ellen and Uncle Mike.....and Cousin JOHNNY! Evy loves Johnny! These two get along so well and have the best time plaing together! It's sad we don't get to see them every day:( Grandma and Grandpa Durbin had an Easter Egg HUNT and cars to play on! The kiddos sure seem to take to the convertible! It was so great spending the day with those great family members we are so lucky to have! We love you all and hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Exhausted after hours of playing:)
Speedracers!
Come on cousin Evy......we're going for a ride!!
I promise I'll take good care of you cousin Evy!

Playdates with Aunt Marlo!

We just love seeing our Favorite St. Louis Aunt, Aunt Marlo, just about every/every other week! Evy can't get enough of her:) On January 28th Evy was feeling great and ready for her playdate with Aunt Marlo while mommy and daddy ran some errands! Aunt Marlo's usually has us here, but this time, it was just the two BFF's...alone....together:) Evy's always so happy to see her, especially since Aunt Marlo gives her treats. When we walked in the door Evy and Aunt Marlo were rockin' out to Barbie! It's funny how Aunt Marlo now knows the words....haha! I'm still waiting on pictures from Aunt Marlo (from their solo playdate) so they should be up soon! Evy was in a great mood for days, which isn't different from normal, but from that point on she's been working on saying, "Aunt Marlo!" She isn't quite there yet but soon for sure.....soon!!! We can't wait for our next playdate! We love you Aunt Marlo!!!

The Catch Up Is Finally Here:)

I have finally caught up on my posts.....approximately 35 and 7 months of catch-up.....but it's finally done! Finally!!! We hope everyone's 2012 has been off to a wonderful start. The Durbin's have been blessed so far and have so many fun and exciting things going on! We promise not to be MIA this year and can't wait to catch up with those we love!

The Best 35 Years!

My amazing family

Well....35 years has come and gone so quickly! To sit back and think about all the wonderful things that have happened is mindblowing! I always pictured 35 as a birthday that would be depressing. Boy was I wrong! It was amazing!!! I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Bellerive with my parents and my mother and father-in-law. Just the way I wanted it. Evy sure had a way of making that birthday dinner one to remember! Food everywhere as Grandpa Inkley laughed so hard he cried:) It was pure entertainment! The night was great and the day was even better! I opened the most AMAZING birthday gift.....which I'll post pictures later:) My great hubby gave me/us a "surprise" with a 50" TV....followed by an elliptical....followed by the plans for the finished basement! WOW.....I must've been good this past year:) haha I am so thankful for such loving friends and family! Thank you all for making 35 so much better than I ever planned!

Evy's 18 Month Birthday!

For Evy's 18 month birthday we started at Grandma and Grandpa's house for cake! That left Evy on a sugar high for the rest of the night, but it was well worth it:) It's clear that she can never get enough sweets! Maybe mommy and daddy are to blame for her sweet tooth, but we NEVER hold back on feeding this princess:) She eats anything, and after the cake, she even took to the kitchen table:) haha We are so blessed to have such a perfect angel and have truly enjoyed every second of her 18 months with us! We love you Evelyn!

Bellerive with Santa 2011

We love Breakfast with Santa at Bellerive. We wanted to go to the dinner this year instead so Grandma and Grandpa Inkley met us there for all the Christmas festivities.

Evy is a huge hugger...which is one of the best things about "nurturing" little GIRLS! While watching the puppet show, Evy decided it was time to hug.....hug anything and anyone:) It's so precious to watch her give hugs and say, "ahhhh!!" We are so thankful to have this opportunity to see Santa! It sure beats the mall and crowds!

We can't wait until Christmas next year.....so many new and exciting things will happened between now and then as Evy continues to grow! Oh, and thank you for my pretty Christmas dress Grandma and Grandpa Inkley.....mommy wishes they had one in her size!

Christmas 2011

Santa, Santa, Santa....Evy sure loves Santa. He brought her all the gifts under the tree plus all the great gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Inkley & Durbin. She was even spoiled with great presents from our great friends:) We woke up and had a great breakfast while singing Christmas songs. Grandma and Grandpa Inkley came over and we began to watch Evy tear apart the gifts. She loves her Barbie four-wheeler and Kitchen from Grandma and Grandpa Inkley & her bus/slide from Grandma and Grandpa Durbin!!!! It's hilarious to watch her drive the four-wheeler since she doesn't know how to steer or even "watch" the road. Bam, bam into every wall:) They'll need to be some painting done around here soon!

We were very happy to spend Christmas with those we love. We wouldn't have had it any other way! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all:)

Christmas Eve 2011

We were so excited to host Christmas Eve this year! It was wonderful to see some of our family and be thankful for what we have and those we are close to in life! We had 4 little ones here....all GIRLS...perfect! It was a blast! There's nothing better than watching these little ladies play together and act like little adults! It was so great to see all those who came and we are thankful to have you in our lives!
