3D/4D ULTRASOUND.... A MUST HAVE!!!

I can't believe that I'm in 3rd trimester. The time is flying by so quickly. Our little one will be here before you know it. Speaking of, we now have a better look at what he/she will look like:))) Durbin and I had 3D/4D pictures and videos taken as an additional keepsake for our baby book. It's absolutely amazing to see that little face that will soon be here to greet us and keep us busy! We were even able to watch our baby wave, yawn, smile, swallow, munch on their toes, suck on their thumb, and even pick their nose! It's the most wonderful experience to watch your baby do all these things and more. Being able to see your baby smile had to be the most touching moment thus far! Besides all the side kicks and jabs, that one smile melted my heart! It's still amazes me that we were able to watch our baby have a "typical" day:))) I've wondered how he/she doesn't get bored in there, but then again, they seemed to be having a dandy ole time:) Before you know it, they'll be having a dandy time here will us! We're so excited and are counting down the 80 days!

We're leaving in 2 days for vacation but will keep you all posted on what's new and exciting!

To Work or NOT to Work, that is the question!

Well, the time has come and gone to make the decision to continue working after our little one arrives. I'm lucky my husband has given me the choice. After a lot of thinking, I think I will continue to work for a little but longer....not forever though:)) I definitely don't plan on missing any of the monumental moments so we'll see what happens in the future! I'm just lucky that I had the option. Now I have to move onto other decisions...full time nanny! Not a big fan of day care so I'm definitely needing to start the search for the nanny now! I'm sure it will be much more difficult than I planned and I want to find the "perfect" one! Is there such a thing??:) If anyone has any recommendation, please let us know.

I guess the next step after that will be searching for more names! It's much more difficult than I planned, but definitely fun!

BABY BUMP!

Here are some BELLY PICS that everyone has been requesting!:) I know I've been kind of slow, but what can I say! I didn't really pop/show until about 5 1/2 months and am so excited I've finally got the "BUMP!" We are having 2 maternity sessions, labor and delivery (a clean version video), and newborn pics taken so there will be plenty more to come! I had some professional ones taken already but figured I'd just post these to start! It's amazing how pale I feel. I don't think I've been this white since birth:))

Ultrasound #3

On March 9, Durbin & I went for ultrasound #3! I won't forget my exhausted husband (who'd been on call all night) running into the room just in time to see our baby! This time it was even more eye opening to see just how big our baby has grown in the past 7-8 weeks or so! I can't describe the feeling when we saw the baby move. We couldn't tell if he/she was sucking their thumb or just waving:) The pictures are absolutely amazing! That first glance when you see your child move sure is a tear-jearker! We can't wait for the 3D ultrasound!
By now I'm about ready to start getting into those maternity clothes. I have to admit, they are much cuter than I ever imagined. It's fun finding a whole new wardrobe! A Pea in the Pod is definitely taking over my closet:) Durbin had a pretty good time picking a few things out....and he hates shopping:))
The doctor said things are going really well! I've put on a total of 7-8 lbs at week 23! I'm going to try and "hit" the gym since I've had a Thin Mint obessession lately which I'm sure will catch up with me sooner or later:) Hopefully later!

Ultrasound #2

On January 4, Durbin & I went for ultrasound #2! It's amazing the difference we saw in just 3 weeks! At this point I was beginning 2nd trimester. Of course I was a little hesitant to get on that infamous scale, but things seem to be in order....so says that Doctor! After weeks of my muchies, I had put on about 1-2 lbs! :) I can hardly wait & see what the future months hold:))

Ultrasound #1

Durbin & I went for our 9 week ultrasound back in December! It was amazing to hear the heartbeat and see the small little "peanut!":))) Here's a couple pictures of the first glimpse at our baby!

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting our 1st baby in July!! Almost in 3rd trimester & everything is going very well! People keep asking, but we are NOT finding out the sex since it's the only real big surprise you get in life! It hasn't been difficult not knowing....it's actually been pretty fun!

Thank you Mom & Dad for the nursery! You guys haven't left much for us but we're still having fun picking things out!:) It's definitely going to be a wild ride, but we're thankful that it was easy and stress free.....as my friends have said....1 try equals fertile turtle:))

Pregnancy Week by Week

Amelia Island Countdown!

Well, it's almost one of those times of year again. Durbin and I are headed for another week of vacation. We decided to stick in the US this time and head to The Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island. It's a little more calm than what we are used to, but as "adults" and as we grow.....in more ways than one.....we figured something a little more romantic and relaxing would be perfect. A week of relaxation before our lives pick up and never slow down again is definitely in order!!!

Jack's Birthday

On January 23, Jack turned 1! Of course there was a party with a bunch of his girlfriends! Birthday's are just not the same without cake, especially when it's all over your face:) Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day!

SKYDIVING

To say the least, this is crazy, but it was a total blast! Everyone should jump out of a plane at least once in their life! It did take a lot of convincing on Durbin's part, but well worth it in the end! 14,000 feet really isn't that high and having a guy on your back named Sparky makes it all so much more of a calming experience....HA!

Durbin's in the MED CORE

On January 9, 2010, Durbin was sworn into the Med Core! We are so excited this time has come. He's happy to be at this point and have moved on from his old job and other things. One step at a time.....Congrats and I'm so proud of you!
