33 and Thankful:)

A couple friends and I were chatting the other day about how much we have to be thankful for in our lives. So we decided to make a list .... relating to our age:) So, as small as some of these things are, I am thankful for so much in my life! They are clearly in no particular order!

Here goes.....

33 Things I am Thankful For:

1) The most wonderful parents in the world...still married...39 years and going strong!

2) The most amazing husband. He's perfect for me in every way

3) Our precious little baby GIRL...Evelyn Catherine Durbin...what a blessing from above

4) The fairy tale wedding....thanks Mom and Dad

5) The greatest TRUE friends

6) The opportunity/choice to stay home with my Baby

7) Our family friends I've had for the past 33 years

8) The one and only marriage I will ever have!

9) That we are able to reside centrally....and close to my parents

10) The morals, ethics, and values my parents instilled in me as I grew up

11) The opportunity to travel the world and visit 17+ countries...now I just have to figure out which pictures correspond to which locations:)

12) The faith I have in God

13) Being all natural....excepting myself as I am...and proud of it

14) The intelligence to not rush into anything....marriage, kids, or impulse buys...LOL (oh Durbin you know that's funny)

15) The ability to say I'm a Vivettte:) hahaha

16) My friends who truly know me & have never judged me...thank you!

17) My two cats...Kiki and Jack:)

18) Being able to live in St. Louis....I'd NEVER move

19) Going to a great/fun college....I-L-L...I-N-I:)

20) Not getting married or having kids before 30

21) Patience in many forms....especially to wait for the right man. It was well worth the wait! I guess it's all trial & error

22) A great education...thanks again Mom and Dad

23) People in my life who have always been there for me

24) The BX and commissary....hahaha...seriously!

25) Marrying someone from St. Louis

26) Marrying a Catholic

27) My wonderful home.....it's truly a blessing & full of love

28) An ability to love unconditionally

29) My health

30) The wonderful Doctor who helped bring my angel into this world

31) HGTV.....hahahah....(Kelly....you get it)

32) Knowing that I am able to take the high road, despite what happens in life

33) FOR THE CHANCE TO WATCH MY FAMILY "GROW" AND MAKE MANY NEW MEMORIES IN THE YEARS TO COME!!!!......

Lunch with the McDonald's

Today Evy and I met Trish and her two kids, Luke & Kate for Evy's first Mexican lunch:) It was so great seeing them again. Trish came to visit in the hospital the day Evy was born, on her 1 month bday & now today....we miss her:) I can't believe just how big Luke & Kate are now. Luke kept saying how he loves baby Evy & Kate offered her some chips and salsa!:) We love having the McDonald's in our lives and can't wait for all the future outing with the little squirts:)

ohhh....and Joe, by the way, the MIZZOU bib you gave Evy today is now her favorite diaper:) This is war! U of I runs in this household! Booo on Mizzou!

3 Little Stinkers

On Monday, Evy & I went to meet Kate & Emily (6 months) & Sarah & Taylor (5 months) to have lunch. It was amazing to get all three of these little tikes together. They were all so well behaved and such cute little young ladies:) We can't wait to have more playdates! It still amazes me that we all had little girls.....it must be payback time:)

Evy's First Pumpkin Patch

On October 16th we all went to Evy's 1st Pumpkin Patch. Her nanny, Jenn, who comes a couple days a week invited us to meet her family & find a pumkpin bigger than Evy!:) Grandma & Grandpa Inkley came along and had a blast. As content as Evy seems in the first picture, she managed to do a face plant about 5 second after we took this picture. Being a trooper, she didn't shed a tear:) She's just so stinkin' cute!

Home with my BABY!

I've absolutely loved being home with Evy! As much as I thought I'd have time to get all her pics up and keep everyone updated, that clearly hasn't been the case:) I can definitely say that being a Mom is one of the hardest but most rewarding jobs ever! It's amazing how much Evy has grown. Before we know it Durbin and I will be giving her that car for her sweet 16 and then writing that check to send her off to college....SCARY:) It sure is crazy!! The times are definitely flying by quickly but we are truly enjoying every minute with her.

I'm working on getting some more pics up and will definitely try and keep on top of things a little more!!! Don't hold me to it......lol

RUB-A-DUB-DUB!

Here are a few more bathtime pictures! Evy loves going to Spa del Durbin! Everything from a head rub to layin back and relaxin' in the sink are some of her favorite times of the day:)

Although very very very short, here's a glimpse of what bathtime is like at our house:) Granted we're in the sink these days since Evy is still so little, she seems to enjoy it! I am going to take a wild guess and say that I'm sure when Evy gets older she won't find this as amusing as Mom and Dad:)

Evy's 1 Month Pics!

I'm about as far behind as I could possibly be with posting pictures, but I am finally caught up on things. Here are some of our favorites....there's a lot, I know! We just couldn't decide:) We are continuing to cherish every second with our new bundle of joy! She is hitting certain milestones and just when we least expect it, she makes us laugh! She is definitely entertaining!

The long await NEWBORN/1 week pictures are here. I am way behind on posting things since our new little ANGEL is keeping me busy! We are enjoying every moment and learning so much as new parents. It sure makes me appreciate all the love and time our parents spent with us. There truly is nothing better than a love for your child!

Here are a few of our favorite newborn pics. It is so hard picking which ones are our favorite, but here are a few from Evy's 1st week here with us. Again, we had our favorite photographer, Kristin, with BelliesandBabies.com come for a visit. I sometimes wonder if we've gone crazy, but with over 1000 professional pics to choose from, the decision is much more difficult than I thought:)

This face leads me to believe Durbin and I have a lot in store for us in the future:)
